CEO of United Engine Concern (‘Rostec’), Vladislav Masalov, visited Perm UEC ventures and discussed the efficiency boost opportunities with the head of the territory.
Vladislav Masalov visited ‘Start’, Perm Engine Company, ‘Aviadvigatel’, held meetings with managing directors of the enterprises and presented Ilya Fedorov, the head of the new ‘Engines for commercial aviation’ UEC division.
Mr Masalov said that engine production for commercial aviation was one of the corporation development strategy main directions and the new division emerging seemed quite a logical idea. The unit comprised Perm Engine Company, ‘Aviadvigatel’, ‘NPO Saturn’ in order to boost the efficiency of their internal and external cooperation and solve the current problems.
Besides, Vladislav Masalov and Victor Basargin, the head of Perm territory, discussed the prospects for future Perm UEC development and the coordination of the concern and Perm Government in terms of Perm Engine Company and ‘Aviadvigatel’ activity.
Masalov underlined that UEC was intended to improve the venture efficiency and prolong the cooperation with local authorities.
Managing company ‘United Engine Concern’ is a subsidiary of ‘OPK Oboronprom’. UEC integrated over 85% of the leading ventures in gas-turbine equipment and the spares designing, serial production and maintenance. Complex venture development programmes and world-standard new technologies implementing is one of the strategic directions of the concern.
‘OPK Oboronprom’ is a multi-purpose engineering group established in 2002. The company is a ‘Rostec’ constituentHhelicopter-building (‘Russian helicopters’), engine-building (UEC) are among the main directions of the group activity.
‘Rostec’ was established in 2007 in order to promote the development, production and exportation of the high technology industrial goods of military, civil and dual-purpose. The corporation comprises approximately 663 companies, which are to form 12 defence industry complex and 5 peace-time industry holding companies. Further the holding number might increase. ‘Rostec’ institutes are located in 60 regions of Russia and cater for the markets of over 70 countries. Sergey Chemezov is the CEO of the corporation.
