‘Avtovaz’, part of ‘Rostec’ corporation, will start exporting products to Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia under the cooperation agreement with AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY SAC, a Peruvian company. The relevant document was signed today, on the opening day of the Second International Forum ‘Engineering Technologies 2012’.
The document was signed by ‘Avtovaz’ Vice President Artem Fedosov and AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY SAC President S. Navierre.
“This agreement is an important step to pursue cooperation between ‘Avtovaz’ and Latin America,” said Mr. Fedosov. “It shows a great potential for further growth of the Russian automotive industry. We are planning to implement a pilot project to supply several hundred LADA vehicles in the nearest future. Its success will enable us to increase our supplies to Latin America.”
The document contemplates promotion of the whole LADA model range on the markets of Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. Under the signed three-year agreement ‘Avtovaz’ will supply products and provide technical and information support. AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY SAC will purchase LADA automobiles and spare parts, and provide warranty and post-warranty maintenance.
‘Avtovaz’ JSC is a Russian automotive company founded in 1966. It is a part of ‘Rostec’ corporation. It is the leading manufacturer of motor cars in Russia and Eastern Europe. ‘Avtovaz’ 2011 net profit peaked at RUR3.1 million. The company is one of the leading Russian companies by the amount of foreign investments. Its headquarters and main production facilities are located in Togliatti, Samara region.
‘Rostec’ was established in November 2007 to support Russian industry in developing, producing and exporting high-tech industrial products. The corporation includes 22 directly managed companies and 17 holdings, of which 12 are in the defence sector and five in civil industry. In total ‘Rostec’ comprises about 600 companies. The corporation has its headquarters in Moscow, and has a presence in 60 of Russia’s regions. It exports its products to 70 countries.
AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY SAC is a subsidiary of ‘Autocraft Japan’ Ltd. It is one of the major Peruvian companies, importing automobiles in Peru and other Latin American countries. It operates its own service networks and office infrastructure in several Peruvian cities and runs similar businesses in Chili, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
