Yakovlev (included in Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation) has put into operation a pneumatic frame line maintenance hangar at Makhachkala airport. It will be used for aircraft service, including the Russian short-range SSJ-100 and in future also the medium-range МС-21. One of the airplanes participated in the ceremony — it was Red Wings’ SSJ-100.
“Yakovlev not only creates reliable aviation products, but also develops an aircraft maintenance network to ensure fail-safe operation and high-level service. Opening of every new maintenance station is a step towards additional airline support and improvement of flight safety. There are currently eight professional stations offering the SSJ-100 maintenance. They are equipped with modern tools and materials, and employ highly-skilled professional personnel. Another high-tech station is to be launched in the Far East by the end of the year, thus, expanding the aircraft support capabilities,” said Denis Belov, Head of the aviation engineering center of Regional Aircraft, Yakovlev branch.
Earlier in April, Yakovlev put into operation a pneumatic frame line maintenance hangar at Kurumoch International Airport in Samara. This the largest facility of this kind in Europe.
