United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered a batch of the new Su-57 and Su-35S to the Aerospace Force of the Russian Federation.
The fifth generation fighters have undergone the full factory test cycle, have been accepted by the maintenance personnel and tested in various operating conditions by the pilots of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The aircraft have flown to their home airfield.
«The delivered aircraft feature high performance that has been fully appreciated by our pilots. The next batches of the Su-57 are at different degrees of completeness. The Su-35S are also at high degree of completeness,» said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.
UAC’s fighter aircraft company is currently undergoing modernization of its manufacturing operations. Construction and installation activities have been completed at the main flight-test center facilities within the advanced retrofitting projects. To expand the production of the Su-57, erection of an additional building has been started. The building will be used for refinement of the fifth generation aircraft systems.
«The number of the fifth generation aircraft delivered to the Aerospace Force of the Russian Federation is increasing year-over-year. At this point, the Su-57 fifth generation advanced aircraft system is the latest frontline aircraft in Russia,» said Yury Slyusar, General Director of UAC.
