Kalashnikov Concern, the major supplier of tactical gear to the Russian Armed Forces, has included the Karakurt drone in the developed third-generation Legioner tactical gear. The drone is currently being tested in the special military operation zone.
According to feedback from operators, the Karakurt performance ensures high battlefield awareness of a soldier and, accordingly, quick decision-making in warfare conditions, including the special military operation zone.
The Karakurt is a reconnaissance microcopter with air imaging reconnaissance capability with real-time data transmission. The reconnaissance drone features launch maneuverability in confined space conditions from a compact transporter-launcher container (tube).
“Our major challenge is to keep a soldier alive and relieve the front-line workload,” said Alan Lushnikov, President of Kalashnikov Concern. “A light microcopter that can be literally hand launched and is used as part of tactical gear will facilitate reconnaissance operations and secure soldiers during combat missions.”
It should be pointed out that Kalashnikov Concern has shown another component of the Legioner at the Army-2024 — a personal first-aid kit.
