Technopromexport, Rostec’s subsidiary, has successfully completed integration testing of the generating equipment for the third power unit of the Udarnaya HPP in Krasnodar Krai. The equipment first employs the domestic GTD-110M high-power gas turbine made by United Engine Corporation (included in Rostec).

The power unit equipment has passed the integration test and run at the maximum load during 72 hours delivering electricity to the national Unified Energy System. All specified performance ratings have been validated.

The Udarnaya HPP project has been implemented in close cooperation with Sberbank. The work has been conducted under unparalleled sanction restrictions using innovative local technological solutions. The Udarnaya HPP is the most advanced combined cycle heat power plant in Russia.

The project is of utmost importance for Krasnodar Krai and the South of Russia in general in view of the rapid growth of electricity and power consumption in the region. The new HPP will supply electricity to the housing and utilities sector and production facilities in the region, and will increase the electrical grid reliability at peak demand.

The GTD-110M high-power gas turbine is the first domestic power unit of such class which is designed to replace equivalent foreign machines. The turbine is intended to be used as part of gas turbine and combined cycle plants.
