Rostec will form an aviation cluster in the Moscow region on the basis of its subsidiary airline Red Wings and Zhukovsky Airport. The cluster will consist of the plant and aviation service assets owned by the Corporation.

This decision has been made following the meeting attended by Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rosteс State Corporation, Andrey Vorobiev, the Governor of the Moscow Region, Oleg Bocharov, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, top management of Russian Railways, UAC and other companies.

The cluster is to be established for systematic development of Rostec’s aviation assets and will encompass Red Wings airline, National Air Ambulance Service, Helicopter Service Company, and several other companies and infrastructure facilities.

The initiative will be implemented on the basis of Zhukovsky Airport with due consideration of the Moscow Region development plans. Extension of the project to the Irkutsk Region is also being explored.
