Scantronic Systems and Toriy included in Rostec State Corporation have concluded contracts for supply of inspection and screening systems (ISS) at a cost of more than 5.5 bln Rubles. The equipment can literally “see” through obstacles and detect illegal goods of any size. The devices may be used to screen trucks and cars as well as railway cars and sea containers.
The range of products to be supplied includes mobile, stationary and portal inspection and screening systems (allow vehicles to be screened in motion). Today, more than 30 such systems are already used at the Russian border checkpoints and transport infrastructure facilities.
“The major share of supplies falls on Russian customers. We have already delivered stationary mobile ISS to Kyrgyzstan and portal ISS to Myanmar under international contracts. The demand for this equipment is growing. Whereas public contracts for supply of 3 systems were made in 2021, in 2023 we concluded contracts for supply of as many as twenty one ISS at a cost of more than 5.5 bln Rubles. This year we are planning to make contracts for supply of another 12 to 17 systems,” comments Aleksandr Popov, Director of Special Missions of Rostec State Corporation.
Mobile and stationary screening systems allow up to 25 vehicles per hour to be scanned, portal systems are able to scan up to 120 vehicles per hour. Stationary railway systems can automatically “see” undeclared goods in cars or containers moving at a speed up to 70 km/hour.
