Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies (included in Rostec State Corporation) has received a certificate of registration issued by the Federal Service for Supervision in Healthcare for the Mobivent Utra mechanical ventilator fitted with a high-frequency oscillatory ventilation mode. Commercial production of the new equipment to help replace foreign counterparts will be launched before the end of the year.
The system has been developed by Urals Instrument-Making Plant and is designed for controlled and assisted mechanical ventilation in all patient populations weighing from 200 grams to 300 kilograms. The product is fitted with a high-frequency oscillatory ventilation function — it delivers air mixture at high pressure, high frequency and intense oscillations. This technique minimizes lung injury in various pathological conditions and prevents alveolar adhesion, which is especially important for extremely preterm neonates and children with lung developmental defects.
“Development of medical device industry is a strategic priority of Rostec State Corporation. Our current portfolio includes about 250 types of registered medical products. Among them are innovative devices, neonatal equipment, AI-based diagnostic systems and a range of mechanical ventilators, which is supplemented with new models on a regular basis,” said Sergey Tsyb, State Secretary of Rostec State Corporation.
The Mobivent Utra was created in close cooperation with medical professionals to make as ergonomic and easy-to-use tas possible. The new product can be used in resuscitation, surgery and intensive care units at hospitals. A total of six configurations of this product are available. They include a version with a compressor, oscillatory ventilation module, thermal heliox (heated helium) delivery and various operating modes.
