Ruselectronics holding has completed the development of the Express-AMU4 components – microwave switch actuators. The products will be used to operate the satellite payload. Delivery of the components has been already started.

The actuators are functional elements of automatic control systems. These products include motors, electric and hydraulic actuators, relays and handling units.

As part of the Express-AMU4, the actuators will enable the microwave switches to switch Ku and C range radio signals via the spacecraft payload equipment channels to provide data transfer, fixed and mobile communications, and digital video broadcasting.

“When developing the new electronic component base, a special focus was made on product fail-safety and remote metering system, because the actuators will be used in the spacecraft payload. We are going to deliver all components to the customer as scheduled by the middle of 2025,” said Aleksey Dymovskikh, General Director of Special Design and Technological Bureau of Relay Systems.

The Express-AMU4 communication satellite is to be the first Russian spacecraft made without using foreign components. It has been developed by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems included in Roskosmos State Corporation.
