Russian Helicopters holding has presented the import-substituted Ansat helicopter at the Army-2024 International Military and Technical Forum. The rotorcraft has been made by Kazan Helicopter Plant and is demonstrated in the air ambulance version — with medical module for transportation of patients.
The helicopter has got new avionics and several other domestically made components and systems. The rotorcraft has two Russian-made VK-650V engines. Moreover, the upgraded Ansat may be outfitted with an additional fuel tank. Thus the flight range can reach 800 km.
The helicopter is equipped with a special medical module containing a mechanical ventilator, tele-ECG kit and other special-purpose equipment. It is used for basic life support and intensive care in flight.
“The Ansat is a modern Russian helicopter that has a good track record. For example, these helicopters are used by Rostec’s National Air Ambulance Service. The helicopters helped save more than 5 000 people, including almost 1 000 children,” said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
The helicopter has the most roomy cabin in its class. It may be used at temperatures from −45°C to +50°C and fly in high mountain regions. The Ansat features high maneuverability and easy maintenance.
