This is the first batch of LADA cars delivered to Cuba by AVTOVAZ in more than ten years. Cuban state-owned taxi company Taxis Cuba received 320 Vesta and 24 Largus Cross cars. All cars are painted in bright yellow-orange.
“We have carried out an eight-month test run of several LADA cars. They showed great results, so we were looking forward to this delivery,” said Jorge Luis Díaz Hernández, General Director of Taxis Cuba, to the TASS correspondent. He added that Russian cars will be used primarily to service tourists.
According to President of AUTOVAZ Nicolas Maure, the company will provide the Cuban specialists with training for after-sales service. He also noted that Cuba is one of the priority export markets for the company
“Cuba, among other Latin American countries, is one of our priority export markets. This country remembers and respects LADA brand, here you can still meet a significant number of classic LADA models, LADA 4x4, on the roads, and today we are ready to resume our presence with our modern LADA Vesta and LADA Largus Cross cars,” said Nicolas Maure.
As he noted, Vesta and Largus Cross models are perfectly adapted to local tasks and conditions and meet the world quality standards.
