Shvabe's Optics to Improve the Environment of Finland

The Shvabe holding company, an affiliate of the Rostec State Corporation, has supplied a batch of hologram diffraction gratings to the customer in Dublin. The optics will be used not in Ireland, but in Finland for environmental purposes.

A large batch of 30 hologram diffraction gratings has been manufactured by a Shvabe's enterprise – the State Institute for Applied Optics (GIPO). The purpose of this purchase is environmental research.

This is the second batch supplied to Ireland since 2018. The first one, also containing 30 items, was received by the customer in March. It should be noted that Shvabe has been cooperating with the Dublin company for 11 years, and more than 1,560 hologram gratings have been delivered to the customer over that period. Irish specialists actively use the Russian optics in high-resolution hyperspectral cameras for air quality evaluation.

"These cameras record spectral parameters of each pixel of an image and allow to determine the contents and status of an object. Our products are distinct from their counterparts by their working characteristics, and the price-quality ratio is optimal for our customer. Therefore, the partners from Dublin have been preferring us for more than 10 years," – noted Villen Baloev, CEO of GIPO.

GIPO has been manufacturing these gratings since 1984. 70% of all Russian diffraction optics are manufactured by Shvabe's enterprises. Apart from Ireland, the products are supplied to Germany, Norway, Kazakhstan, Republic of Belarus and other countries.
