The Kaliningrad Region will host for the third time the International Economic Forum of the Amber Industry Amberforum 2018 to be held from 7 to 10 June 2018 in Svetlogorsk. Amberforum will be traditionally held at the modern multi-purpose cultural centre Yantar Hall. The event was arranged by the Kaliningrad Amber Factory, a member of the Rostec State Corporation, with the support from the Government of the Kaliningrad Region.
The key idea of Amberforum 2018 is to appear on the Russian and global agenda, discuss and demonstrate the trends of development of technologies, territories, related sectors and creative industries.
The first day of the Forum will be opened by a plenary discussion called Technologies for Life and Development. The spokespersons and the experts will explain how technologies affect the life of a modern man, which resources are required to attract innovations to the industry, whether the interregional and international consortia are capable of becoming one of the major drivers for the industry-related and cluster projects.
The second day will be devoted to the discussion of regional development in the context of major events. Another topic for discussion will be the development of industrial tourism in Russia. Besides, a traditional auction for the sale of a unique amber stone weighing more than 1,000 grams will be held during the second day.
The Forum will be traditionally supported by an exhibition of amber products, works of art and technologies, as well as Show Amberforum, a large-scale cultural programme.
