AVTOVAZ Starts Delivering Vesta and Largus Cross Cars to Cuba

 

AVTOVAZ starts delivering LADA Vesta and LADA Largus Cross cars to the Republic of Cuba. The first batch of 344 cars will arrive in January 2018.

The growth of export sales is one of the main tasks that AVTOVAZ has singled out in its medium-term development plan. "Cuba, among other Latin American countries, is one of our priority export markets. This country remembers and respects the brand LADA, here you can still meet a significant number of classic models LADA, LADA 4x4 on the roads, and today we are ready to resume our presence with our modern LADA Vesta and LADA Largus Cross cars," said Nicolas Maure, the President of AVTOVAZ.

As he noted, Vesta and Largus Cross models are perfectly adapted to local tasks and conditions, they also meet the world quality standards. In addition, AVTOVAZ will provide the Cuban specialists with training for after-sales service and availability of spare parts.

According to the press service of AVTOVAZ, the delivery of cars to Cuba is carried out with the assistance of Vnesheconombank, which provided financing for this deal, as well as the Russian Export Center, which supports the development of the export partnership of Russian producers with foreign partners.

"We appreciate the support of this deal on the part of the Government of Cuba, the Government of Russia, the Russian Export Center and Vnesheconombank, and we expect to continue delivering LADA cars to Cuba in the coming years with an increase in volumes," added Nicolas Maure.

As it was informed earlier, AUTOVAZ intends to export about 30 thousand cars in 2017. The main sales are expected to come to the CIS countries. In addition, the company plans to increase shipments to Egypt, Lebanon and Latin America.
