UOMZ Incubators Save Lives of Lebanese Children

Medical equipment supplied by the Urals Optics and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ) earlier this year to a Beirut hospital helps Lebanese doctors nurse newborns to robust health.

IDN-02 and IDN-03 incubators for newborn babies manufactured by UOMZ (part of the Shvabe Holding Company), were delivered to Lebanon in January 2013. The total contract value exceeded RUB 500,000, the company’s press service reports.

After the equipment was installed and the operators received adequate training, the staff of healthcare professionals began actively using the incubators. The neonatal ward of the Beirut Hospital currently has five UOMZ incubators helping doctors save lives of premature newborns.

Russian medical equipment is in great demand in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Lebanon became the 78th country to acquire UOMZ products. UOMZ export specialists believe that this dynamics should help the company expand its geography of exports and reinforce its positions on the global market.
