More than 60 screening systems made by Rostec State Corporation are currently used in Russia

Customs officers at Kaliningrad sea port have prevented smuggling of a large batch of tobacco products — about 4.6 mln packs of cigarettes amounting to 700 mln rubles. They were detected using an inspection and screening system created by Scantronic Systems and Toriy included in Rostec State Corporation.

The product range made by the companies includes a set of solutions that can “see” through tens of centimeters of steel without opening a container, distinguish substances by composition, weight and density, and to find caches in car cavities hidden from the naked eye.

Kaliningrad region is a leader among Russia’s regions in provision with such equipment. Dubki international checkpoint at Russia–Lithuania border is equipped with the domestically built mobile system.

Another successful example of Rostec’s inspection and screening system operation has been reported from Yamal. The ST-2635PG hybrid all-weather inspection and screening system was used at the Karamovsky checkpoint to detect 120 weapons, including eight rubber-bullet handguns, three of which had no special license, and 16 UAVs. Moreover, about 1300 liters of counterfeit alcohol, 150 kilograms of unlawfully caught fish and five boxes of naswar were withdrawn from circulation.

More than 60 screening systems made by Rostec State Corporation are currently operated at checkpoints throughout Russia and more 20 ones are at the manufacturing stage. The ST-2630P gantry type inspection and screening system started working in May this year in Chekhov, a town near Moscow.
