RT-Project Technologies included in Rostec State Corporation demonstrates the TOPBAT batteries at INNOPROM. Belarus. The batteries can operate in severe frost and extreme heat, and provide energy even when burnt, cut or shot through. On the day of premiere, Rostec released a new #НашКраш (Our Crush) project edition where the batteries had undergone a series of severe tests and vividly demonstrated “unkillable” quality and reliability.
The TOPBAT product range includes lead-acid enhanced flooded batteries (EFB), absorbent glass mat batteries (AGM, AQUA AGM), and absorbent glass mat and gel cell batteries (AGEL). All of them have increased environmental resistance. The product has been designed in collaboration with Impuls Research and Development Company, Rostec’s technology partner, and is mass produced.
Russia’s products are independent on foreign components and have a number of benefits compared with foreign products. In particular, they operate at temperatures ranging from −50 to +50 °C, withstand deep discharges without critical loss of power, and are designed to provide power for decades. Such combination of properties makes the batteries suitable both for civil and military equipment.
Within the #НашКраш project, the TOPBAT AGM batteries were placed into a fish bowl, burnt, drilled, power-sawn and shot through by small arms where the power source was pierced with dozens of bullets. Even a warped battery showed the presence of power and, in particular, was used to start a car.
TOPBAT AGM batteries demonstrate unparalleled damage resistance. Such batteries have no liquid electrolyte, electrolyte is absorbed by special glass-fiber “sponges”. Therefore, electrolyte spill is prevented even in case of housing penetration, and the power supply keeps running.
