Vladimir Putin Congratulated KAMAZ on Its 50th Anniversary

Vladimir Putin joined a festive event marking the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Kama Automobile Plant construction. The anniversary celebration took place on December 13th on the premises of KAMAZ car factory.

The Head of State spoke at a gala rally dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the car factory. Veterans and ground breakers, builders of the Kama automobile plant and company employees were invited to the event. Sergey Chemezov, Director General of the Rostec State Corporation, Martin Daum, member of the Daimler AG Board of Directors and Head of the Truck and Bus Division of Daimler AG, as well as heads of partner companies of KAMAZ and others congratulated the KAMAZ employees on their anniversary.

“Our deepest gratitude goes to all who laid the foundation of this enterprise, who put their heart into it. These are workers, builders, engineers, scientists, who launched this excellent, wonderful project in 1969," Vladimir Putin addressed the audience.

The Head of State made a particular mention of the "KAMAZ-master" racing team and its sportspersons who steadily show great results which have made KAMAZ a world-renowned brand.

The Russian President also visited the engine and the car frame factories, got acquainted with new production lines and talked to the workers of the engine factory. The company's specialists shared about the production features of the new P6 engine and truck cockpits of the new model range.

“This is a truly new level and real world-class quality,” said Vladimir Putin. - The localization is at 83%, which is also very important. This means that we produce 83% of this engine in Russia, the engine which is one of the most advanced ones in the world. ”
