The United Engine Corporation, a member of the Rostec State Corporation, supplied the NK-14ST industrial gas turbine engineto the largest Argentinian gas transport company, Transportadora de Gas del Sur S.A. (TGS). The engine will be installed at the gas pumping unit of the Indio Rico compressor station.
The NK-14ST engine by a Samara company of UEC, Kuznetsov PJSC, is designed to power the centrifugal blower of the gas pumping unit. As compared to its predecessors, it possesses high power and efficiency, an improved air-gas channel and turbine design. The engine operates in any climate conditions, and its life cycle is 50,000 hours.
"Cooperation of UEC with the largest Argentinian gas company has been developing during the recent years. Last year, an agreement was signed for supply of spare parts for the previously supplied engines. The Argentinian partners highly appreciate the products of our companies, and the service level we offer. As expected, we will expand our cooperation, and today we are elaborating the ways to enter into new contracts to supply both spare parts and new engines," commented Viktor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy of the Rostec State Corporation.
Upgrade of compressor stations and Argentinian nationalisation of separate technologies for NK-14ST engines overhaul may become a promising line of cooperation between UEC and TGS.
