Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation has won tenders for the supply of neonatal equipment in Asia and Europe. Equipment for resuscitation, intensive care and nursing of newborns was purchased by six countries and Slovenia has become a new pilot sales market.

Medical equipment was shipped to Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Slovenia. Asian countries received SNO neonatal tables, IDN-03 intensive care incubators and OFN-02 phototherapy irradiators for the treatment of jaundice. The "BiliFlex" fiber-optic system for phototherapy was sent to Slovenia. In addition, delivery of OFN-03 phototherapeutic irradiators for newborns is being prepared for Poland.

All the equipment is designed and manufactured in Yekaterinburg at the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ) production site of Shvabe holding. The company currently produces 30% of all neonatal equipment in Russia.

“Asian countries are a priority market – supplies to this region make up about 60-70% of total exports of medical products. In Poland, devices for phototherapy of newborns are considered the most promising as medical institutions in the country feel the greatest need for this technique. The Slovenian market is still being studied, the prospects can be assessed based on the results of pilot supply”, added Anatoly Sludnykh, General Director of UOMZ.
