Rostec Updates Checkpoints on the Border With Europe and Asia

"Roselectronics" holding of Rostec State Corporation will prepare projects for the reconstruction of seven checkpoints on the state border of Russia.The upgrade will affect four road checkpoints, two rail, one sea and will increase their capacity.

Specialists of "Roselectronics" will conduct engineering surveys and prepare working documentation for the creation of special communication lines, devices of uninterruptible power supply systems, modernization of fiber optic networks. All facilities will be brought into compliance with the requirements of the state control bodies.

The work will affect road crossing points "Tury Rog" in Primorsky kray and "Zabaikalsk" in Zabaikalsky kray, "Svetogorsk" and "Ivangorod" in the Leningrad region and the railway border crossing of "Pogranichny" in Primorsky kray and "Naushki" in Buryatia, and the see border crossing point "Kholmsk" on Sakhalin island.

The main purpose of the reconstruction is to increase the capacity. In particular, during the modernization of road checkpoints, additional lanes with passport control cabins will be built.

The upgrade will accelerate the passage of control, reduce the risk of delays in the transportation of goods. The project involves the reconstruction of terminals on the border with Finland, Estonia, China, Mongolia and Japan," says Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec State Corporation.

According to the results of tender procedures, "Roselectronics" has concluded contracts on preparation of project documentation with branches of FSU "Rosgranstroy".

"Our company has long been a partner of FSU "Rosgranstroy" in whose interests at the state border of Russia inspection systems of"Roselectronics" are implemented. In 2018, "Roselectronics" had equipped the first in Russia stationary rail inspection system according to the order from FSU "Rosgranstroy". It is installed in Zabaikalsk – the largest transit railway checkpoint on the Russian-Chinese border.

The holding also supplies mobile inspection systems for FCS (Federal customs service) and provides maintenance of all PDM (personal documentation monitoring) systems for the Russian customs.
