Ruselectronics holding, Rostec State Corporation, has developed a voice signal masking device to protect radio equipment against information leakage. The device is designed for both DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) civil band stations and special-purpose equipment.
The equipment will form a noise jamming signal that, when combined with other engineering solutions, securely “hides” the data to be communicated. The device may be used, for example, for rescue operations or to ensure critical infrastructure security.
The electromagnetic information leakage channel masking system is a unique product developed by Voronezh-based researchers from Sozvezdie Concern, Ruselectronics holding.
“Our technology enables us to securely protect radio communication against probable information leakage. This is important both for rescue operations and to ensure critical infrastructure security. The technology is ready for use in DMR radio stations manufactured by the Concern,” pointed out Sergey Ermakov, one of the developers, Head of Research and Development Center, Sozvezdie Concern.
A silver medal was awarded to the product at the Archimedes 2023 International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies in Moscow.
