The Ruselectronics Holding has presented a comprehensive project to create a high-precision navigation and telecommunication system for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The solution was presented at the “Goszakaz-2021” exhibition and works stably in the difficult physical and geographical conditions of polar regions. It is resistant to cyberattacks and provides continuous monitoring of the location of ships.

The surveillance, navigation and communication system offered by Inteltech of the Ruselectronics Holding is a system of stationary and mobile radio technical posts. Each post consists of several subsystems that work simultaneously in dozens of areas. The observation subsystem monitors ice, hydrometeorological, radiation, and seismic conditions in real time. The telecommunication subsystem offers communication in the VHF and HF bands via fiber-optic communication channels, satellite, meteoric and tropospheric communications. The navigation subsystem provides control of ships’ position using satellite or ground-based radio navigation systems.

“Formation of efficient infrastructure for the Northern Sea Route is a priority for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The solution we have presented will allow users in difficult Arctic conditions to inexpensively solve communication problems, navigation, hydrographic challenges and offer hydrometeorological support, thus reducing navigation and environmental risks, improving the quality of management of territorial facilities and boosting infrastructure in the Arctic zone”, said Yuri Nikolashin, General Director of Inteltech.
