Rostec Intends to Double Innovation Products Revenues

At the CIPR conference Vassily Brovko, the director for special commissions of Rostec State Corporation, told that the sales volume of Rostec's civil digital products would exceed 300 billion rubles by 2025, while the share of revenue from innovative products should double and reach 14%.

Such indicators are planned to be achieved within the framework of the Corporation's Development Strategy, which provides for an increase in the share of revenues from civil products to 50% by 2025. The main volume of sales is planned to be ensured through integrated infrastructure projects, the introduction of the "safe city" systems, automation systems, including industrial ones, as well as modern types of IT and telecom equipment.

"Investments of all enterprises of the Corporation in R&D amounted to 141 billion rubles last year which is about 9% of the Corporation's revenues. A similar level of investment has been steadily maintained for several years. We understand perfectly well that investments in new technologies and advanced products are the main driver of development, which allows us to realize the ambitious plans laid down in our Development Strategy. In 2017 alone the Corporation received 870 patents and registered 1300 know-how”, - Vassily Brovko emphasised.

By the end of 2017, Rostec's revenue from civil products amounted to 548 billion rubles (+ 46.5% compared to 2016), while revenues from digital systems and equipment exceeded 90 billion rubles. The share of innovative products in total sales is 7%.

Among the most notable projects of the Corporation are the creation of a digital infrastructure for the World Cup 2018, the development of the "e-health" system, the introduction of the "Safe City" hardware and software systems in a number of Russian regions, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk Region, etc.
