Rostec has Furnished Fuel and Energy Facilities with a New Drone Protection System

Ruselectronics holding has supplied the first batch of new Serp-VS drone suppression systems to fuel and energy facilities. The equipment is designed to suppress small drones and is capable of operating offline from a remote position and protecting both mobile and fixed facilities. Combination of several such systems helps to provide protection of an extended infrastructure.

Serp-VS can suppress the drone control channel, break the operator link, disable the navigation equipment, disorient the drone and thwart the flight mission. The system neutralizes GPS, GLONASS and Beidou signals (in L1, L2 and L5 ranges) and breaks drone control via Wi-Fi.

“We can see the risks which are entailed by the increasing use of drones both in military and civil applications. Fuel and energy facilities are a part of critical infrastructure of our country. Ruselectronics’ solution helps to improve their safety by jamming drones made by a wide variety of manufacturers,” said Oleg Evtushenko, Rostec’s Executive Director.

The device can ensure anti-drone protection of both fixed and mobile facilities. The input power of the transmitter is 150W and the range is up to 3km. Serp-VS can “see” an UAV intruder in a sector from -10 to 80 degrees vertically and 360 degrees horizontally. Communication with its own control station is provided via Ethernet.
