Rostec has Delivered the First Supershredders Used to Destroy Confidential Documents

Ruselectronics holding has started delivery of shredders designed to destroy confidential documents. The devices ensure the maximum confidential information security  by cutting the paper media into fine fractions. Government agencies, aircraft manufacturers and Rostec companies were the first to get these shredders.

Using a cross cutter, the new devices are able to cut paper-based media into tiny fragments of max. 2.5mm2. Such fragments prevent the paper media from being restored even when special software and hardware are used.  The shredder can cut simultaneously up to six sheets of paper with a standard density of 80 g/m2 at a rate of 60mm per second. The device is also capable of destroying plastic cards, CDs and DVDs.

The device is fabricated from Russian-made components. It is manufactured by Novosibirsk-based Oksid Radio Components Factory as part of Ruselectronics holding.

“Observance of stringent confidentiality requirements is a binding condition established by many companies and agencies. Specifications of our products meet the highest confidentiality class P-7 and, thus, they can be used by law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, banks and manufacturing facilities - wherever sensitive government or proprietary information is handled.  The shredder cuts a A4 sheet into more than 12,000 particles whose size is approximately equal to a ballpoint pen stroke width. The shredded document will be never restored to its original state and read,” said Lev Nosenko, General Director of NZR Oksid.
