Rostec has delivered the next batches of the upgraded 2S12A Sani mortars, 2B11 towed mortars and 2B24 light mortars to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The Corporation increases the output of these products in accordance with the government customer requirements.

The Sani system includes the Ural cross-country vehicle capable of covering 1000 km. The truck body accommodates the 2B11 120mm mortar that is unloaded using an electric winch. Due to mobility, the Sani can be used as ‘roving’ mortars with continuous displacement.

The 2B11 mortars have high rate of fire, their effective range is more than 7 km. Thanks to the improved base plate, the gun has an all-angle firing capability. The mortar ammunition is designed for more than 50 rounds.

The 2B24 82mm mortar is light-weight and designed for infantry units, including mountain infantry. The 2B24 is an easy-to-operate and effective antipersonnel, antishelter and light antiarmor weapon.

“We have delivered the next batches of the Sani mortar systems, 2B11 towed mortars and 2B24 light mortars to the Ministry of Defence. All delivered artillery guns have proved their reliability and efficiency in combat conditions” said Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Conventional Weapons, Ammunition and Special Chemicals Cluster of Rostec State Corporation.
