Kurganmashzavod as part of High-Precision Systems holding, Rostec State Corporation, has shipped a new batch of BMP-3 within the state defence procurement program. In Q1 of the current year, the company delivered the same amount of fighting vehicles as during the whole 2019.

A next shipment of the repaired vehicles is to take place soon. The products are restored to achieve the full service life, most of assemblies and components are replaced.

“Rostec’s facilities have achieved remarkable production rates of weapons and military vehicles. Kurganmashzavod ships infantry fighting vehicles almost every month with the scope of delivery growing continuously. The number of personnel has increased considerably: More that 1000 people were employed last year, while almost 1200 people were already employed in Q1 of the current year. In order to ensure continuous manufacturing process, ahead-of-schedule deliveries of metal, assemblies and components have been provided by contractors,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Weapon Systems, Rostec State Corporation.

“Today, Kurganmashzavod personnel literally performs a labour feat. For nine consecutive months, the personnel work six days a week on a 12-hour shift basis and also on holidays. As our grandfathers once contributed to the victory both in the rear and in the front, it fell to us today to spare neither strength nor time to make the long-awaited victory closer,” commented Petr Tyukov, Executive Director of Kurganmashzavod.
