Russian Helicopters holding, Rostec State Corporation, has delivered four Ansat helicopters to the National Air Ambulance Service (NAAS). The operator has already received 42 from 66 helicopters included in the contract with PSB-Avialeasing. The helicopters are used to save the life of patients in dozens of Russian regions.

“A total of 28 Ansats and 14 Mi-8MTV-1s have been delivered to NAAS as of today within the contract. Ansats are primarily used in the central regions of Russia, Volga Region, Caucasus and the Urals. The light helicopters are highly demanded in restrained urban conditions, for landing on motorway and in mountains - Ansat has received certification for high-altitude operations. Just a few seconds pass from the engine start to take-off – this is important for meeting the “golden hour” concept when every minute counts for saving the life of a patient,” pointed out the representatives of Rostec’s aircraft cluster.

Ansat has the most roomy cabin in its class. The main rotor system ensures high maneuverability and controllability. The aircraft has a “glass cockpit” which significantly improves flight control and reduces crew workload. The main flight and navigation, transmission and propulsion parameters, endurance details as well as helicopter position with respect to the flight route are displayed on a single screen. The advanced navigation equipment enables easy and quick route programming or changing and provides access to current databases with terminal approach routes and aeronautical data.
