Ruselectronics holding has developed a video monitoring system for underwater drones. The system may be used for monitoring water areas, underwater pipelines and drilling rig facilities. Dedicated software helps achieve a well-defined image regardless of the drone speed.

The system consists of a monochrome video camera with an angle of view of 52 ° and a resolution of 2048х1536 pixels, powerful light source and control unit. The system can survey objects at a distance of 2 to 5 meters from it, during 50 hours and at depths up to 3 km. Due to a contrast limited histogram equalization technique integrated into the software, the image definition is not smeared when the drone speed increases, thus, reducing the object examination time.

The adaptive underwater imaging system is being developed by the Television Scientific Research Institute included in Ruselectronics.

“Problems with supply and service maintenance of foreign artificial vision equipment are arising as a result of sanctions. Moreover, foreign cameras are placed outside underwater vehicles, which hinders their operation in adverse conditions. The solution of the Television Scientific Research Institute solves all these problems, it is integrated in the drone housing and provides highly detailed images,” said Aleksey Nikitin, the General Director of Television Scientific Research Institute.
