Rostec Enterprises Named Leaders of Russian Radio-Electronic Industry

Central Research Institute "Electronics" (the information and analytical center of Rostec State Corporation) has published the results of its annual rating of organizations in the radio-electronic industry in Russia. Eight enterprises of Rostec State Corporation were rated among the top ten industry leaders and 33 Rostec enterprises were included in the top 50 highest revenue companies in the radio electronics segment. The leader of the TOP-50 in terms of revenue in the radio electronics segment was Istok State Scientific Production Enterprise named after A.I. Shokin (12.3 billion rubles), part of the Ruselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation. Second position was taken by Mikron Group of Companies (11.7 billion rubles), which is part of Element LLC (a joint venture between Rostec and AFK Sistema). Third position was Scientific Research Institute of Communication and Control Systems (8.5 billion rubles), which is part of the JSC Sozvezdie Concern of the Ruselectronics holding.

Istok also led the TOP-50 organizations in terms of revenue from production activities (including contract manufacturing), TOP-30 research and production organizations and TOP-25 organizations in terms of revenue from the production of electronic components and electronic modules.

The Scientific Research Institute of Computing Machinery was named a TOP-30 leader in terms of expenditures on R&D and research and technological innovation carried out under government order, including civilian and dual-use products, with a share of these indicators in total revenue of as much as 85%.

The first and third places in the TOP-25 in terms of revenue from products and services supplied for export were taken by enterprises of the Ruselectronics holding - JSC Radiozavod (exports’ share of proceeds totaling 39%) and JSC RZMKP (export earnings reaching 89%). Scientific and Production Association Rubin, a member of the Vega Concern of Ruselectronics holding, which occupied 13th position in the same table last year, has risen to fourth this year. Rubin’s share of export earnings in total revenue stood at 17%, up from less than 1% last year.
