Representatives of Rostec and Venezuela Agreed on Cooperation in Comprehensive Security of Oil Infrastructure Facilities

During the meeting of co-chairs of the Russian-Venezuelan High-Level Intergovernmental Commission, it was decided to promote civilian products of enterprises forming part of Rostec State Corporation. 

Parties agreed on cooperation in comprehensive security of oil infrastructure facilities and participation in investment projects in Venezuela. Preliminary work was done with active support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. 

The range of issues is wide: from industrial safety, including protection from cyberattacks, to delivery of equipment and firefighting means with the possibility of localizing production in Venezuela, etc. 

Partners from Venezuela expressed interest in using Rosctec solutions in information security to protects electricity and power industry infrastructure facilities, supplying Russian IT solutions for collecting and processing information on functioning of power industry infrastructure facilities, modern solutions for risk management at critical infrastructure facilities to predict risks of accidents and prevent them. 

During the meeting Rostec was represented by General Director of its subsidiary JSC “RT – Project Technologies” Sergey Yarosh: “This is a very interesting and promising market for us. In the process of negotiations, at various levels, we showed the Corporation's civilian products, as well as demonstrated achievements, developments and solutions to our partners from Venezuela, in almost all industries, and of all holding companies. The signed memoranda are not only the first results of the work done, but also prospects for bilateral cooperation. We are convinced that interest of the two parties will produce considerable results in the near future.”
