Octava Presented the Concept of Studio Microphones at Milan Design Week

The Russian manufacturer of electro acoustic equipment, the Octava plant, took part in Milan design week, which was held from 9th to 14th of April. The company presented the concept of professional studio microphones and presented a new line of condenser microphones models MK-115 and MK-117. Experts evaluated achievements of Octava plant and learned about the visual solution of the planned developments.

An organizational structure that combines the entire product development cycle – from design to design engineering, is responsible for industrial design at the Octava plant since 2018. It was created by the new management team led by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Vasily Brovko.

“The division had the task of enhancing the quality characteristics of the product to improve its market attractiveness. We are aware of the importance of project information component - not only you need to come up with an idea and bring it to life, but also you need to bring it to consumers. During presentation we have shown a new line of condenser microphones, the design of which was developed on the basis of the bottle shaped popular premium model MKL-5000. However, the design of dynamic microphones of MD series and multidirectional condenser MK-4012, the concept of which we have presented, will be completely different”, said Design director of the Octava plant Vladimir Shipilov.

Milan design week is held annually and unites all spheres of modern design. This year, a new line of products were presented for the first time at the event in the sphere of industrial design.
