Begishevo is One of the Russia’s Best Airports

Begishevo International Airport, KAMAZ's subsidiary, became a silver prize winner of the award Air Gates of Russia in the nomination The 2017 Best Airport with a passenger traffic under 2 million people a year.

The award ceremony took place at Crocus Expo IEC during the 2018 NAIS National Exhibition. This prestigious award is presented to the airport for the third consecutive year. Begishevo won in the nomination Russia's Best Airport in 2015 and 2016. It is noteworthy that in previous years, Begishevo Airport took part in the category of airport with a traffic flow under 500 thousand people, this year it has moved to a new category and fought for the title The Best Airport among airports with a traffic flow under two million people a year.

The Best Airport award is handed with account of categories and acceptance rate of airports. The assessment was carried out by criteria objectively highlighting the work of airport terminals and services: customer (passenger and airline) experience, operational performance, transport safety, non-aviation activities of airports and others. The award is established by the Organizational Committee of NAIS, the Federal Agency of Air Transport, and the industrial portal of AVIA.RU Network. The Expert Council includes representatives of the leading airlines of Russia, the top managers of associations the International Association of the Top Managers of Aviation Enterprises (IATMAE), the Russian Association of Exploiters of Air Transport (AEVT), Helicopter Industry Association (HIA), Transportation Security Association, journalists from mainstream media AVIA.RU Network, ATO, RBC, TASS, the Kommersant publishing house, etc.

In all, Begishevo rendered services to 587,775 passengers in 2017. Against 2016, the passenger flow jumped by 50%.
