JSC Ruselectronics (part of Rostec State Corporation) and Nedi Technology Co. Ltd (part of China Electronics Technology Corporation (CETC), the largest Chinese corporation in the field of radioelectronic technologies) have signed an agreement on organizing the contract manufacturing of semiconducting devices.

The parties entered into the agreement during the International Military and Technical Forum Army-2017 that is taking place on August 22-27 in Kubinka near Moscow. The document was signed by the State Secretary – Arseniy Brykin, Deputy Director General of JSC Ruselectronics, and Sun Xudong, Deputy Director General of Nedi.

The document stipulates the procedure and terms of coordinating the design, layout, production, testing and transfer of the products manufactured under foundry agreements, as well as the form of contracts and the procedure for amending them. In particular, CETC undertakes to ensure a guarantee period of the manufactured products for a period of 12 months after delivery, and Ruselectronics undertakes to provide patent clearance of the manufactured products. A special section of the agreement is devoted to protecting intellectual property rights and trade secrets.

The parties have been developing cooperation since 2014, when they created several working groups to exchange information and discuss cooperation. In particular, the possibility of creating a joint laboratory in Russia to develop various types of electronic components is currently under consideration.

In 2017, Rostec merged Ruselectronics holding company and United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation. United holding company is the largest Russian developer and manufacturer of radioelectronic parts and technologies, communication tools and systems, automated control systems, robotic systems, superhigh frequency electronics, computing and telecommunications equipment.
