A delegation from SIBER (Rostec subsidiary) arrived in India with the aim to exchange the best practices and expertise at the Institute of Fire Safety & Disaster Management Studies (IFSDMS) located near Vadodara, Gujarat.
SIBER and the owner of IFSDMS - Checkmate Services Pvt, Ltd. signed an Agreement of Strategic Cooperation and in July, Checkmate proposed to enter, either into a follow up formal agreement, or a Joint Venture Agreement concerning provision of security services on the territory of India and Russia.
According to the chief delegate Alexey Buianov, SIBER’s deputy CEO, such hands-on experience may be invaluable for carrying out the project of construction of Rostec’s own training centre in the Smolensk Region.
IFSDMS is a state-of-the-art fire training facility that concentrates on industrial fire fighting.
‘The institute has really made an impression on us all. It will just suffice to mention the props designed to simulate emergencies involving hazardous materials, high angle and confined space rescue and extrication. The training grounds include full scale flammable liquid industrial replica props such as 8 meter storage tank, tank dyke, pumps, truck & wagon loading gantry and oil piping manifold & flange failure fire module.’ – Alexey Buianov informed.
At the moment SIBER is constructing a modern training centre in the Smolensk Region. The project is going to be completed in 2017. SIBER provides security and fire-protection services for most of Rostec subsidiaries and the new training centre will provide training services for Rostec and its partners from India, Singapore, South Africa, UAE and China.
