On 4 April 2016, Nicolas Maure took office of the President of AVTOVAZ. The tasks of the new leader will include increase of productivity in all segments of the company’s business, in particular cutting the operating costs and improving financial indicators.
The key challenge is to take the company to the breakeven point, increase production localization, reduce production costs, and increase the share of Lada cars both in the domestic and foreign markets.
Nicolas Maure, 55, graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and received an MBA from Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires. In 1985 he started to work as a consultant with Boston Consulting Group; from 1988 till 2000 he worked for automobile spare part suppliers Valeo and Faurecia. In 2000 Nicolas Maure started to work as the Director for Spare Parts and Accessories with Renault; then he was in charge of the quality assurance, worked as the Plant Director at Société de Transmissions Automatiques, Director of Engine Plant Dacia (a Romania-based subsidiary of Renault), Vice President of Renault-Nissan for Mechanical Equipment Purchases and Director of Renault Performance Manufacturing, then CEO of Dacia and Renault in Romania. Nicolas Maure was appointed to the position of the President of AVTOVAZ by the resolution of the company’s Board of Directors on 15 March 2016.
