"FORA": the First Russian Electric Charging Station


In 2016, a member of KRET, Ryazan State Instrument-Making Enterprise (RSIME) started first Russian commercial production of electric charging stations (ECS). Before the end of this year the Concern also intends to produce the first commercial batch of the new model devices – direct current stations "FORA-EZS-DC" for fast charging of electric cars.

The first three pre-prototypes of the stations with the trade name "FORA" were manufactured in March 2014 at the Ryazan enterprise of KRET. In pursue of the import substitution task, Rosseti have commenced the tests of domestically produced electric charging stations. FORA has proven that in terms of its technical features it is equal to foreign equivalents and corresponds to all modern requirements. As compared to foreign equivalents, the national electric charging station even has advantages: menu in the Russian language, capable of operating under Russian climatic conditions, but the main advantage is that its cost is almost twice as low.

KRET has commenced the supplies of direct current stations "FORA-EZS-DC" in 2016. As of today, the pre-prototype of direct current station "FORA-EZS-DC" is being successfully tested at PJSC MOESK. More than 20 charging cycles of such electric cars as Mitsubishi i-MIEV, NISSAN Leaf, Tesla have been performed as part of the test operation.

By 2018, KRET intends to output 200 stations for fast charging and 100 station for slow charging.
