The specialists of the Uralvagonzavod corporation will prepare 80 tanks T-72B3 for participation in the Tank Biathlon international competitions. The first batch of ten vehicles has already been transferred to the Russian military to begin training.
All tanks were serially produced at Uralvagonzavod as part of the state defense order and are in service with the armored units of the Ministry of Defense. On the track with the prohibitive competitive loads, they must demonstrate high mobility and accuracy of shooting, "recommending themselves" in the rapid passage of the track and overcome many obstacles without breakages: a hill, a wall, a track bridge, a minefield and water obstacles.
"Such competitions are necessary and important. First, it is the image of Uralvagonzavod and the Russian Federation. Secondly, it is a test of the forces and skills of tankers, the power and reliability of our equipment. We invariably prove that our tanks, our crews are the best. Many rivals compete at the "seventy-two", some countries bring their military vehicles, but Russia still occupies the first places! We hope that this will happen this time too! "- noted the staff of the military representative office of the Ministry of Defense of Russia accredited at the Uralvagonzavod, which carry out quality control of the works performed at the Tank Biathlon.
We recall that the Tank Biathlon-2018 competition will be held at the military range "Alabino" from July 28 to August 11. They will be attended by teams from 20 countries, including Venezuela, Nicaragua, China, Kuwait, Syria, India, Serbia. The All-Army competition is held to test the level of tank platoons' preparedness for a modern battle and to strengthen military cooperation between the armed forces of friendly states.
