On May 13, the International Mother's Day is celebrated all over the world. Rostec State Corporation is a customer of design, construction, equipment and commissioning of 15 perinatal centers throughout Russia. Perinatal centers can welcome up to 45 thousand patients annually. To date, more than 19 thousand babies were born in the perinatal centers built by Rostec.
"Rostec has been implementing the largest infrastructure project for the construction of perinatal centers in the Russian regions for several years. Center specialists and equipment are capable of identifying and preventing perinatal pathology risks, caring for children with low and extremely low body weight – from 500 g. This is a great contribution to improving access to health care locally. According to the Ministry of Health statistics, infant and maternal mortality is declining in the regions where such centers have been built. Currently, more than 19,000 babies were born in the perinatal centers commissioned by Rostec State Corporation," pointed out Nikolay Volobuev, Deputy CEO of Rostec State Corporation.
Today, more than 6.6 thousand units of modern equipment and over 15 thousand pieces of medical furniture have been provided to medical centers located in eight regions. This list includes neonatal, laboratory, intensive care and gynecological equipment for diagnosing pregnant women, delivering babies and caring for newborns. About 60% of equipment is Russian made – the manufacturer is Schwabe Holding affiliated to Rostec.
