Shvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation has developed and patented the new technology of the gasoline and lubricants quality control. This invention allows for instant determining, whether the fuel properties are consistent with the requirements of GOST and agreed standards.
The technology is based on the analysis of optic refraction and color indices: the quality of the object is determined based on these indices deviation from reference values. The product study using this technology takes no more than 2 seconds. Shvabe-Technological Laboratory’s specialists noted that this study method is unique in Russia.
The innovation will become an alternative of the expensive complex used today that consists of the colorimeter and three refractometers. The invention patented by Rostec replaces these devices accelerating the analysis runtime and reducing the check time. Besides, the cost of Shvabe’s equipment is about twice lower.
Another advantage is that the device may be used without special skills both at the production site and at the fuel station. To the opinion of the engineers, implementation of this technology will lead to higher quality of the fuel and prevent low-quality oil products from entering the market.
