KAMAZ vehicles developed with the use of innovation developments were presented at an exhibition under an extended meeting of the Board of Tatarstan's Ministry of Transport and Roads.
Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, Maxim Sokolov, Transport Minister of the RF, Lenar Safin, Minister of Transport and Roads of the RT, Andrey Kostyuk, Deputy Head of the Federal Road Agency, and other officials took part in the event held in the IT park of Naberezhnye Chelny.
During the visit to Naberezhnye Chelny, the delegation visited KAMAZ production facilities. Accompanied by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, the guests visited the engine plant to see a new assembly of R6 engines, toured the new plant intended for production of cabs for K5 generation trucks. Besides, they were shown a KAMAZ electric bus, as well as the first truck from the KAMAZ-54901 series the production of which is scheduled for 2019.
KAMAZ presented 16 models of trucks at the exhibition organized for the Board of Tatarstan's Ministry of Transport and Roads. These are the gas-diesel KAMAZ-5490 and the KAMAZ-5490 NEO, the KAMAZ-6520 Luxe, KAMAZ-65801, -65802 dump trucks, as well as the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus, the restyled NEFAZ-5299 low-floor bus, the crew bus on the KAMAZ-43118 chassis and other vehicles. The vehicles from the company's new lineup are in high demand with Russian customers. The vehicles serve to implement significant state projects and operate under various geographical and climatic conditions thanks to their high technical and consumer-oriented characteristics.
For example, the KAMAZ-6520 Luxe model is equipped with a new comfortable cab on a four-point suspension with a full range of options and a 400-hp engine meeting the Euro 4 emission standard. The truck features a reinforced front suspension (maximum load on a front axle is 9 tonnes) and carrying capacity boosted to 22 tonnes. Also the vehicle has a heated tipping platform with the latest tried-and-true hydraulic system by HYVA.
