AVTOVAZ Looks Back on the Year

AVTOVAZ looks back on the departing year. According to the company, in 2017, LADA model range was extended to include new cars, the export market has expanded, and the development of engineering facilities have been going on.

In 2017, two new LADA models were launched into the market – Vesta SW and Vesta SW Cross. Their combination of functionality and vibrant design have enabled these cars to get a new market niche at the Russian market and made Vesta cars the most popular LADA cars in November 2017, and second-most-popular at the Russian car market as a whole.

For the first time in history a dual fuel engine model, LADA Vesta CNG, was launched into the market. The car can be fuelled both with gasoline and methane (combined natural gas), one of the most popular types of fuel in Russia. The use of methane allows to reduce the costs on fuel by three times.

In an effort to extend the range of options for potential buyers of LADA, the company has offered a special modification for XRAY and Vesta models – a configuration named Exclusive.

In April this year, it was 40 years since the start of LADA 4x4 manufacturing. To celebrate this, a batch of three-door and five-door LADA 4x4 cars of commemorative configuration was produced. Peculiarities of LADA 4х4 Anniversary include special interior and exterior finishing and original wheel disks.

In 2017, LADA also continued its expansion of export markets. During the year, the supplies of LADA Vesta were launched to Germany and Hungary. For the EU market the engines of LADA Vesta conform to the Euro-6 standard. Besides, the LADA brand has found its way back to Cuba and Jordan. In total, LADA cars were supplied to 27 countries in 2017.
