UEC Specialists Took Part in Future Aircraft Concept Development

Participants of the academic and discussion program "Aviation of the Future" held as part the XIX World festival of Youth and Students (WFYS) in Sochi have presented the concept of new-generation aircraft industry development to Vladimir Putin. Young staff of the United Engine Corporation (UEC) also entered the group of project developers.

The Aviation of the Future program became the platform for young specialists of the UEC, United Aircraft Corporation, Russian Helicopters and students of specialized Russian and foreign universities (MAI, MIPT, etc.), where they could discuss and get an understanding about advanced technologies and prospective projects in the world aviation industry. The UEC was a participant and one of the program organizers. Over 300 persons from Russia, China, India, Iran, the European countries and other states were involved in the Aviation of the Future work in total.

"The cornerstone of our concept is the conviction that the aircraft industry development will be determined by the following key factors: Engineering – development using artificial intelligence; Manufacturing – flexible, additive production allowing to quickly release difficult knowledge-intensive products; Concept – the new conceptual shapes of aircraft equipment allowing to carry out different tasks; Infrastructure – airspace and infrastructure organization using automated control systems," said Valentin Savin, Chief Specialist of the UEC Design Office, who was involved in concept development.

Experts of the Aviation of the Future program were representatives of Russian and foreign aviation companies, educational and scientific communities of Russia, France, Germany, Great Britain, South Korea, India and Israel.
