KAMAZ-Master Announced Members of Dakar-2018 Rally Crews

At the press-conference in Naberezhnye Chelny KAMAZ-Master crew leader Vladimir Chagin announced the crew members that will compete in the Dakar-2018 rally. The team will put forward four sport vehicles for the rally.

On its 40th anniversary, Dakar-2018 will go through several countries – Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. The marathon will start on 6 January in Lima (Peru) and will finish on 20 January in Cordoba (Argentina).

KAMAZ-Master team will put forward four sport vehicles for the rally. In particular, a new truck with 13-litre engine that has proven itself during the Silk Way will participate in the South-American rally. This was the first experience of using such engine on a cabover truck so as to comply with the Dakar rules that will apply to KAMAZ-Master vehicles as early as in January 2019.

"Our crew has a serious task – testing a whole new series of technical advancements installed on our sport truck. The rally programme starts with the heat and sand dunes of Peru and progresses to the high mountains of Bolivia. It will be hard both for the trucks and the people", says pilot Dmitry Sotnikov, winner of the Silk Way-2017.
