Foreign Pilots Highly Appreciated Ka-52 Helicopter

During his working visit to the Progress Plant (town of Arsenyev) of the Helicopters of Russia holding company Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin met Egyptian pilots who highly appreciated the performance characteristics of Ka-52 helicopter.

The Deputy Prime Minister held a meeting with the pilots being trained to operate Ka-52 helicopters. He discussed with the pilots the training progress and asked them to share their personal impression and characterize the helicopter's performance. The foreign specialists highly appreciated Ka-52 by noting the reliability of the vehicle and full compliance with the today's requirements to strike helicopters.

"It is extremely pleasant to receive a positive feedback from a foreign customer, this is an appreciation of the work done by the Progress Plant and the Helicopters of Russia holding company". Together with the foreign colleagues we agreed that the export Ka-52 helicopters are unique and it would be great to distinguish them somehow. We finally decided to call these vehicles "Nile Crocodile", and the customer responded enthusiastically", noted Dmitry Rogozin.

At the request of the Egyptian pilots, the Deputy Prime Minister also participated in a test flight of Ka-52 to demonstrate the performance of the helicopter.

Ka-52 "Alligator" scout-attack helicopter has been commercially built since 2010. The export modification of "Alligator" has a new airborne defence system and a sighting system that ensures long-distance acquisition and identification of targets. The helicopter is also equipped with an updated on-board equipment set and a new cooling system ensuring the helicopter's operation under conditions of hot climate.
