KAMAZ Expects to Triple the Export Volumes

In the nearest five years KAMAZ expects to triple the volumes of trucks sold internationally. Half of the new supplies will be new model vehicles.

As was noted by the General Director of JSC KAMAZ Foreign Trade Company Rafail Gafeev, the growth of export supplies will be primarily ensured by engaging new large markets – Latin America, Asia, Indonesia, and Africa.

The largest export market for KAMAZ in the first six months of this year was Cuba. It is expected that significant supplies will be commenced to Vietnam in the second half of the year, and a large contract with Senegal will be signed by the end of the year for the supply of 600 vehicles. Besides, a dealership agreement has been signed with Egypt, and the terms of the new contract is being negotiated today.

"The first supplies to the Republic of South Africa have been already made, and the vehicles are being tested by the customer. Until the end of the year we must finish the development and arrange the manufacturing of four right hand drive vehicles adapted for the Republic of South Africa. Vehicles of the same configuration will be further supplied to the market of Indonesia", said Rafail Gafeev.

He also noted that the demand for KAMAZ vehicles is also observed in the European countries. "One after one we receive orders from the Eastern Europe for Euro-6 environmentally friendly vehicles", explained Rafail Gafeev.

It is to be recalled that KAMAZ exports vehicles and spare parts assembly kits to more than 30 countries.
