Moscow, 25, 2016

Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation), Russia’s sole state special exporter, will present more than 250 models of equipment for Army, Air Force and Navy at the KADEX International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment 2016 to be held from 2 to 5 June in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

A total of 40 Russian defense enterprises, including 14 holdings, will be exhibiting at KADEX 2016.

Demonstration flights of the Yak-130 combat training aircraft, Mi-35M attack/transport helicopter and Ansat light multipurpose helicopter are scheduled to take place during the exhibition. In addition,  the Tor M2KM SAM system with modular combat and technical assets, modernized T-72 tank, RM-K reconnaissance vehicle, as well as the Ural-BB, Ural 4320-6951-70, Ural 63706, Typhoon-K (KamAZ-53949), Tornado (KamAZ-53958) multipurpose vehicles and Mustang family vehicles (KamAZ-5350 and KamAZ-6350) will be showcased.

“Our exposition will be one of the largest at KADEX 2016. This year Russian manufacturers demonstrate dozens of full-scale models of weaponry. This is because the development of military-technical cooperation with Kazakhstan and other CIS countries remains a priority for Russia. We are a key partner in the security area for most of the CIS countries. Rosoboronexport seeks to further deepen cooperation and looks forward to fruitful discussions during the exhibition,” said Esen Topoev, Advisor to the Rosoboronexport Director General, who heads the joint Rostec and Rosoboronexport delegation.

Particular attention during the talks with partners from Kazakhstan will be paid to the prospects for localization of military and dual-use production and the reconditioning and modernization of previously supplied equipment. Potential future deliveries of aircraft, naval and engineer equipment, ammunition and unmanned aircraft systems will be discussed and the prospects for joint development of an automated control system for the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan will be considered.

In addition, Rosoboronexport will hold talks with delegations from other CIS countries on supplying weapons and military equipment, as well as expanding technology and industrial cooperation.

Demonstration of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan’s military equipment, delivered through Rosoboronexport in recent years, at KADEX 2016 will provide one more piece of evidence that Russian-Kazakh military-technical cooperation evolves successfully. These equipment models include the BMPT tank support combat vehicle, Mi-171SH military transport helicopters, Su-30SM multirole fighters, and others.

Rosoboronexport is the only state-owned arms trade company in the Russian Federation authorized to export the full range of military and dual-purpose products, technologies and services.
