VSMPO-AVISMA and ‘CETAB Nikopol Works’ (Ukraine) joint venture






In 2005 VSMPO-Avisma, the largest titanium producer (‘Rostec’) purchased 100% of Swedish Carl.Edblom.titan AB, owning 50.1% of ‘CETAB Nikopol’. In 2006 the name of the company changed from "Tube works CETAB Nikopol" to ‘Tube works VSMPO-AVISMA’ and in 2008 it became ‘VSMPO Titan Ukraine’ owned by VSMPO-AVISMA and VSMPO Titan Scandinavia AB (ex Carl.Edblom.titan AB).

VSMPO supplies the plant with hollow billets made of titanium alloys. The works produce cold and hot worked weldless pipes and its Swedish subsidiary is in charge of exporting the products to the international market.

The goods manufactured by the JV are resistant to corrosion and aggressive atmosphere and they are demanded in various sectors: aircraft engineering and ship construction, madecine and energy, food and paper-pulp industry. The production has a wide range of typical sizes with full diameter from 2 to 325 mm and wall thickness from 0.5 to 30 mm.
